– Powerball Plus was introduced in the draw on Tuesday 1st December 2015, giving players an extra way to win a prize.
Draws take place on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 9.00pm, straight after the main Powerball game is played.
Jackpots can grow to huge amounts as the top prize rolls over to the next draw every time it is not won. Players have 365 days from the date
of a draw to claim any prizes; after this period of time has passed and no winner has come forward, 50 percent of the unclaimed funds will be
transferred to the National Lottery Distribution Trust to be used for good causes.
- The game offers players’ Powerball numbers another chance to win in a separate draw for an additional R2.50 per line, making it a supplementary game to Powerball which cannot be played on its own. Players select their Powerball line as usual by picking five main numbers from 1 to 45 and then one Powerball from a separate number pool of 1 to 20, before marking the Powerball Plus option on their Powerball ticket.
